Reimagining Kensington: Revitalization of Waterloo Playground

Monday October 10th: 3:00PM - 5:00PM
Ticket Price: Free

Following successful community-engaged revitalization projects of Smith Playground and Ralph Brooks Park in South Philly, Urban Roots and Connor Barwin’s Make the World Better Foundation (MTWB) invite the communities of Kensington, Fishtown and Norris Square, as well as all Philadelphians excited by the re/design possibilities for public park spaces, to come together to launch the revitalization of Waterloo Playground.

Building off the momentum of the Community Design Collaborative’s recent Infill Philadelphia Play Space design competition, we will share some of the innovative design concepts that have been created in response to community feedback about Waterloo Playground and will continue to gather public feedback to refine the design. There will also be fitness-themed games led by Run 215 and pop-up honeybar snacks by honeygrow.

Related event : Later the same evening from 6 to 8pm, the celebration continues with a Happy Hour at honeygrow HQ.
