Join us for a never before seen collaboration between Madame Lola, Whitney Alexander and DJ HA. The performance will include pole dancing, hoop and experimental dance overlaid with projection mapping and precomposed music .. Don't miss it.

SATURDAY:

Another first time preview of "Modern Dating" by je,stat. Through jeˌstāt Megan Matuzak and Rebecca Waychunas hope to open a dialogue with the general public about the many dilemmas modernity presents us: identity politics, sexuality, technology, intersectional feminism, and the art world its self. Through a mixture of dance and theater, jeˌstāt investigate these subjects in ways connections can continually be made.

Performance will be followed by a dj set and there will be art on the walls by SVNTH HVN.

Location Description:

The events planned for DesignPhiladelphia will be centered around a multimedia presentation and installation based performance in the event space teamed with live sound experiences, each night. The space will also be open daily during the run of the Design Philadelphia events as an open house, with tours of the bed and breakfast and explanations of all works built and housed at The Nativist.

About the space:

Providing both a destination, and a retreat - The Nativist uses it's sprawling space to provide guests with room and board as well as room to grow.

It is an exploration of the modern day location experience, infused with a modern day bed and breakfast.

With common areas, public space, and private rooms - Ashleigh aims to provide both community and sanctuary, when your own space isn't an option - we offer you an alternative place, to call home.
